Home Made Mac and Cheese

Who doesn't love a good homemade mac and cheese.  I love mac and cheese of any kind.  I have been trying for quite sometime to find a perfect recipe.  This is my go to recipe and a huge hit with everyone.  It is the perfect comfort food.

  • 1 box of elbow noodles
  • 1 small box of Velveeta cheese
  • 2.5 bags of sharp Cheddar cheese ( I used one bag of white and one bag of orange)
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

  1. Cook elbow noodles to al dente
  2. While noodles are cooking cut the Velveeta into bite size pieces
  3. Once noodles are done drain them and add to a large bowl.
  4. Mix together both bags of cheese, half of the velveeta cheese, milk and egg.
  5. Spray a casserole dish, and transfer mixture to greased casserole dish.
  6. Place the rest of the velveeta cheese on top of mixture and add a half bag of sharp cheese
  7. Place in over at 350 for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is completely melted.

Ravioli Bake

I really love ravioli but sometimes I want more then just 4 raviolis.  I found this recipe on Pinterest and made some adjustments.  It turned out awesome and was so filling.  I have been looking at other cooking blogs and decided that I will do step by step instructions.  Of course as soon as I go to take the final picture my camera died, and my phone does not take to good of pictures.  The final picture is from (http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/weeknight-ravioli-bake-114685.aspx)

  • 2 pounds of  cheese ravioli (I used miniature raviolis)
  • 2 14.5 ounce Jars of pasta sauce  (original recipe calls for one but I did not have enough sauce for the last layer
  • 1 bag of shredded Italian mixed cheese
  • 14.5 ounce can of diced tomatos with green chiles
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  1.  Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. Mix one jar of pasta sauce with diced tomatoes and water
  3. Scoop one cup of mixture into a 9x13 dish (or more to make sure bottom of pan is covered)
  4. Layer half of ravioli on top of sauce
  5. Add another cup of sauce (or more to cover all the ravioli)
  6. Top the sauce with one cup of Italian shredded cheese
  7. Repeat steps 4-6
  8. Cover and bake for 30 minutes, remove foil and bake for another 15, remove from oven and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese
  9. Leave sit for 10 minutes.
